Correct Offset for 120i Cabrio
Hi,
Sorry if there's already a post on the captioned topic, but i've gone through most of the threads and many configurations are being mentioned, so I would like to start off with a new thread to find out the correct configurations. Can someone please tell me what is the correct offset for 120i cabrio? Currently, i'm on 18" x 8" offset 35 (tire: 225/40/18) and the front sticks out a bit... i'll also be installing kw v1 so I want to maximize the coilover by lowering the car as much as possible but avoiding the wheels to scrub... Any feedback and comments will be appreciated. Thanks. |

I think the "maximum" wheel/tire/offset mix that can be run without making changes to the front camber is as follows.
Front: 8", 45 offset, 225 tire Rear: 9", 48 offset, 255 tire That's just what I've gathered from browsing this site so it very well may be off some. |

Unfortunately, it's not as simple as that. If you change the width of the wheels, you'll likely have to change the offset too, and you also have to factor in a tire width change. If you search this forum, you'll find a lot of info about wheel/offset/tire combos that people have that work.
