Baseline Dyno

i went and got a baseline dyno on my 2009 bmw 335 i xdrive 6mt. This was done at Tach Motor Works in Oceanside, NY. I don't really care about dyno numbers in general, but i do like to know the delta so i did a bunch of before and after testing/logging so i figured i'd share my results here.

There were 3 pulls done. first was a 5th gear pull with cobb stage 1 aggressive(not shown) The second pull was 4th gear cobb AP Stage 1 aggressive map and the third pull was base map 4th gear pull. No bolt ons. at the time of the dyno. I logged the runs on my cobb AP and there were a ton of AIT based timing corrections even on the stock map as expected. For this reason the Cobb stage 1 aggressive map was able to pick up 110lb/ft however only about 20whp because AIT based timing corrections seemed to kick in above 4k rpm when the car would otherwise start to make more hp.

Later that night i logged 3rd gear pulls with the cobb stage 1 on the street in order to establish a 'street' baseline before installing my FMIC and UR intake.

After installing spearco Code 3 intercooler and UR intake i logged 3rd gear pulls with the cobb stage 1+ aggressive map and plotted them in virtual dyno and overlaid it against the baseline stage 1 aggressive map pull i had done prior. The car picked up another ~23whp and ~16tq. Ambient temps were about the same approx 70 deg F in each run. As expected, fewer AIT induced timing corrections due to less heatsoak with the upgraded FMIC allowing the car to pick up more top end power.
