Question Wheels for 328...Decisions..decisions

I drive a 2010 Le Mans Blue 328xi and am looking to get a new set of wheels for the summer. I have stock style 194m wheels on the car that I'm going to make into a winter set. What I'm looking for is something in a gunmetal or similar color, Imo I think that color works really well with the Le Mans Blue.
So far I've looked at:
-Forgestar F14s in gunmetal (pictured below, quality..?)
-Apex EC-7 or Arc-8

I've also read a bit about some forum cars with VMR v710s and think they look good but I'm concerned about the quality? (gravity cast?)

A local shop I can get a deal from recommended I get TSW Wheels or Beyern, but I don't really see a color that works for me. The closest would be TSW Nurburgrings ...but they're matte gunmetal...

An idea of my goal: (something in that style/color)

Thoughts? Suggestions? Ideas?
Thanks,
-T

I have VMR 710 on my own car.
They look sick.
We also carry Avant Garde, Axe Wheels, Lenso and BBS.
Take a look and let me know if you need any help.

I have the Avante Garde M310's on my 328 in Matte Black. Love them and so far they've held up really well since March on these shitty Bay Area roads/highways (though some of the highways are getting fixed nicely right now).

I got mine from Eric at Pyspeed.

Any gunmetal colored wheel would look great on your car. All those you listed are mesh style so its just a matter of choosing which wheel. Google some images. I would personally go with the F14's.

I think i'm leaning towards the anthracite EC-7s'
As for sizing, would this work?
Fronts: EC-7 18"x8.5" ET35
Rears: EC-7 18"x9.5" ET43

Thanks for the pics, that helps

you can go with ET35 in the rear, even on an LCI. the tire sizes i'd go with are 235/40R18 and 265/35R18.

if you need more info and advice, try this thread: Official APEX Wheels Showroom Gallery Thread. there are tons of E9x's in there with various setups. David replies back with technical info regarding wheels as well as what tires will work for your needs.

I think i'm going with apex ec-7s' and leaning more and more towards the silver rather than the gunmetal now. So many options...its quality im concerned about after googling reviews of each wheel

Hey, how's it going?
Good to see another LB on the forum!

Here is one one looks with Rays Homura 2x7 in Silver.

My advice would be to go with JDM wheels, like Rays, Advan, Work or Enkei. Their cast wheels use flow forming technology, while their forged wheels are simply rock solid. I really wanted Rays G25 for mine, but could not find even remotely good deal on them, so went with Homura's.

I don't think you really have to worry about quality as far as Apex wheels are concerned. Also, I think the silver works out better than gunmetal in your case.

I agree, Apex seem pretty solid, going to go with silver for sure now after seeing more pics

There's so many choices out there it'll make your head spin. Thankfully I love my Alpina reps, but I do have an affinity for Vossen CV3's too. Good luck with the pick OP.

I stumbled across a set of Type 193's for $200, I really like the look of these M-Sports.

I have a set of f14's in silver 19 deep concave as sdc wouldn't fit my car. 235 35 19 and 265 30 19 tyre sizes. I think they look the nuts and seem good quality so far.

+1 on the quality. or, go with OEM Style 219M's (BBS), Style 359M (BBS).

A cheaper alternative to the EC-7 is the Miro 112. Both Designs are based off of the BBS GT4.

In terms of quality the Apex's are stronger. They're probably a couple pounds lighter than the Miro's too.

Heres what they look like mounted on my car.

Thanks man, but beware of brake dust! which brings me to another point: actually slightly darker accent on wheels, like gun metallic (as seen on dirty wheels) looks pretty dope with that color too
