resize/enlarge question
I have pictures at the following resolutions:
2816x2112 (1.24MB) 2048x1536 (736kb) 1600x1200 (?) 1024x768 (229kb) do you know the maximium physical size (i.e. 5x7) I can print these up at without losing any noticeable quality? thanks!

do you have photoshop - if you can you can view the print size of the image. I dont know the calculation, but it has the to with the pixel size and the pixel/inches

It has more to do with the color depth and image compression than anything. You can probably get an 8x10 out of the 1.24mb jpeg, but it's going to be a little grainy / fuzzy at that. 4x6 is probably the limit for good sharpness.
For reference, I shoot a ~16MB RAW file for my 8x10 or 16x20 prints, and after processing the image and saving as an uncompressed JPEG for the lab, that usually comes out to be a 7-9MB jpeg file. 1600x1200 (?) 1024x768 (229kb) These resolutions are unsuitable for good prints. Are you trying to figure out at what image quality to set your camera to maximize the number of images stored on the card?
