What does this symbol mean? It shows when I first start the car and when I perform control check.

Thank you so much. You saved me a trip to the dealership.
I had installed a Smoked Sun/Wind Deflector (PN: 82 11 0 399 152). I think that caused the problem, but with your help I was able to fix it.

Obviously it's a guy with a limp dick having a brick dropped on his head. In other words this symbol means 'Be Careful, you could be next.'

It's the camera. I guess the flash altered the color.

A bit off topic, but since the the question has been answered...

How come some cars, like your 335i, have an engine temp gauge on the tach and others have instantaneous fuel economy? I have an E90 330i with the instantaneous fuel economy. I'd much rather have engine temp. Is that something the dealership can swap out for you in association with a BC change of some kind?

I searched a bit and couldn't find anything :/

temp gauges are for 335s and M3s... i had a 328 before which i sold and it had that useless fuel economy bull shit... cant believe an "ultimate driving machine" doesnt even have a proper temp gauge...

I have a 328 and I have a temp gauge. I think it's for all E92s and maybe just the E90 335s? And of course all the M cars.

I don't think it has anything to do with the model of your BMW. I am pretty sure it has more to do with the year. I had a 2007 E92 328i with a temp gauge and my (current) 2008 E92 335xi also has the same gauge. I've only seen the instantaneous mpg gauge in cars older than 2007 MY.
