After Market Alloys and Wheels

I'm considering purchasing and fitting after market alloys and wheels once I pickup my Z4 (hopefully in the next couple of weeks).

How does fitting after market alloys and wheels affect the tyre pressure sensors? What I guess I'm trying to say is I assume it's not a simple case of ordering some alloys and wheels, having them delivered and then fitting them to the car?

In order to ensure the tyre pressure sensor works etc, what do I need to do?

Thanks in advance.
