are you using extension tubes or what...? that seems like too close a focusing distance for a 50 1.4, especially given the depth of field. looks really awesome.

I like the vid, except one part where you're can tell you're using a really wide angle lens and she's close to the camera, makes her nose look huge, then it seems shortly after you switched lenses?

Just that walking scene when you get in front, it's just distorted, it's a unique touch, but it isn't doing her favors.

It's neat seeing the video in revers too just to see how the hair responds backwards

moar!!!

cool video rodi... I just feel that it's really high-contrasty and a little too dark. The shadows on her face, as you move around, hides her quite a bit.

daytime rant

I have been perusing this site as I do daily to hold my new car fixation over until delivery time, and I cant help but want to vomit at all of the HDR images posted on this site that are improperly processed and make a complete mockery of the beauty that can be HDR.

Although I agree with you to a certain extent, I cannot agree that all HDR pics submitted here have been awful. It would be cool if you shared some good HDR photos of your own and some tricks on how you would go about post-processing them.

IMHO, the best HDR is when you don't know it's HDR. When I use it, I try to make it look natural and simply bring out some shadow detail or retain some highlight detail, closer to what the eye sees. I don't understand the need for HDR-cartoons, other than it's easy to do.

this is what i originally meant for him to do with the rust and such in the photo....

just enough to add some pop, but not enough to be noticed or draw unwanted attention.
