I think if you register your car on BMWUSA.com you can find out there.

The other poster is right. Some BMW's are made in South Africa.

My E83 X3 came from Austria. Built under contract by Magna Steyr.

Buy this book. It is a great read and pretty up to date as far as current models and where they are built.

A good response for UAW workers who have their bumper stickers that indicate if you don't buy American you too will be out of a job soon.

One of America's cornerstones is capitalism. To buy a ford, gm or chrysler regardless of quality is not just because it is the right thing to do is not an American ideal at all. In fact, that ideology is really socialism.

I couldn't agree more. And too many so called "American cars" are not made in the US at all.

Many later Pontiacs were made in Australia. A large number of the Suburban sized GM SUV's were made in Mexico.

Cadillac lost all my respect when they came out with the Cimarron. Jazzing up Tahoes and putting a wreath on them hasn't done anything to earn it back.
