Blasphemy. N54's blow.

Akrapovic exhausts are way too tame.
Lol, your opinion.

The valves are nice on the Akrapovic + ER DP combo. Civil when it needs to be, all hell breaks loose when they open.

Can someone explain to me why tuners are now only getting 450whp out of these M4's now?

A lot of hype a few months ago and now tunes add only 40-50whp.. instead of the 150whp all these past threads say!

Care to enlighten me anyone? D:

Care to cite some examples? M3/4s with the same mods are making at least this much if not more power now than before.

Don't forget to compare it with the same fuel.

Well,

I remember seeing all the numbers of 550+whp being thrown around by DPs, JB4 and a little E85. Being just a JB4 + a little E85 coming out to 510+whp on initial runs.

And now I'm seeing other dynos with similar mods coming out to 460-470whp. not the 550+whp as before?

or maybe people don't know how to dyno them? I'm seeing threads of people struggling with that as well!

Perhaps "similar mods" aren't so similar at all. Hint...take a look at what piggyback they're using and that might tell you something.

There's no reason cars with the same mods can't make the same or more power as before. There was nothing magical about November-December 2014.

Are these on the same dyno type and same fuel?

Exactly.

I can't help but think those were overcorrected glory runs.

550whp+ is a lot of power.

Yet, I've only seen it on a handful of cars. Mainly posted in the Summer of last year.

Nothing lately has came out, except PURE Turbo cars which are 600+whp.

All the tunes for JB4, DPs and E85 now seem to be reading much lower than all those "glory" runs last summer.

I mean shoot, they got 480whp overnight with the cars.. and now we need E85, etc for those numbers. lol.

Cars with the same mods on the same fuel are making similar power. Again, don't know where you guys are getting this from. You're likely getting it mixed up with the more recent dynos of cars using the less capable tuning platforms which have come out lately. Those cars are only making 450-460 RWHP for the most part.

There is,no magic. Tunes can make,as much power as,they want by turning up boost and adding e85. Street tunes with less boost on 91 make 40 to 60 extra hp

I noticed the SES light on, is that caused by the piggy back tune? Piggy back tunes destroy ECUs and sensors. My friend had a piggy back on his f30 335 and it destroyed the ecu and a bunch of sensors. BMW covered it under warranty after removing the piggy back. Why cant the ecu just be tuned?

Flash tunes are on the horizon, so there's some light at the end of the tunnel.
