Post 2007 328i (E90) Going out of Warranty Help!!

Hello All,

I have a 2007 328i going out of warranty at the end of June, I am a new to BMW as this is my first one. It was purchased from a BMW dealership and want to know what should I have replaced and or looked at before my warranty is up? What are your recommendations so I don't get stuck with something super expensive in the next few years?

I also noticed this in the front of the engine when I lifted the hood at the dealer Is this some sort of Gasket leak? Also what should I have them look at?

Have the dealer look at the coolant system. They're notorious for being the weak link in BMW's. I also heard the the oil filter housing is prone to leaking.

The picture is a clear case of the notorious oil filter housing leaking.

Also look thoroughly for leaks all around the valve cover gasket (thats' the area just under the top plastic cover), and if possible, inspect the oil pan and transmission for leaks as well.

Thank you very much! They are going to go through the car and inspect and I am making a running list as to take care of all these things before it expires so I am good for a few years no problems.

Thank you very much! I am going to have them look over these things. BMW's are a whole new ball game to me so I am relying on this forum to help.

Why not just trade it in for a 2010 cpo 335? U can get one for 5 years @ 0.9% and it'll have warranty too???
