Yea the JB4 is sort of sketchy with install and uninstall, every time you mess with the connectors and wires you weaken them and risk breaking or damaging something, the connectors and wires are not mean to get repeatedly connected and disconnected.... I am worried about my uninstall too.
The power is good, so I might leave it in a little longer.

Map 0 will give you codes. I get 2d2e and 2 DP codes when i have used map 0.
Map 0 is not ment to be driven on.
Use map 4 if you want stock like tune.

You need a jb4 USB cable!

He needs to pull his JB4 and get a Cobb because clearly the JB4 is too complicated for his uses. Cobb will allow him to hit 160+mph and that's what he wants.

Just email BMS, they can send you a new pin to crimp on if yours broke.

I haven't heard of someone get a tuner detection code since the early 2009's. That woudl also not put the car into a limp mode and throw a CEL. The tuner codes were usually shadow codes hidden within.

You may be right. From an ease of use standpoint I do believe Cobb would be a better option for some.

It's not that I find the JB4 hard myself but I can see where others might.

They have a printable pdf with all the commands. You don't have the USB cable and if you want the best support for this system you probably are visiting the wrong forum...

yes its safe, just keep your mix around E30. You need to log and check trims, people say new fuel pump when you get into higher E85 mixes.

Figure I'll ask the question here since it's JB4 related... how well can it work for troubleshooting vs Cobb AP? I have a cobb AP installed but going to stack the two, just curious which could give me better info.

My recommendation is when you get a JB4 get it with the usb cable and it will make troubleshooting very easy with the jb4 as long as you have a laptop

I suggest you get the USB cable. you'd need it for logging, better code reading, firmware updates etc... Contact Mike

Also once you have that, feel free to post or send me logs over email and I'll gladly look it over.
