Probably not the one they'll race in World Superbike next year.

Yeah a production version of the CS could very well be an AWESOME grille contender for the best!

However I think the E46 facelift ones are damn near perfect!

Yeah if you compare them straight to a jap, but you have to consider that there are few comfortable sport touring bikes (K1300s) with shaft drive, electronic suspension, anti-spinning (ASC), quick shift and ABS that does 285 km/h without a sweat... And the old one (k1200s) did the ring in 7:57 first try, pretty neat for a sport touring bike that weighs 254 kg... And often cheaper insurance. Some BMW motorrads just isnt very comparable to the rest thanx to its amazing technology and superb feel of being really well put together.

Now I just hope the S1000rr will eat some R1's even though I think it will take them a couple of years to get close since the japs have been kings in that department for a long time.

But ofcourse there's alot of shitty BMW bikes aswell that are really expensive and ugly!

The BMW 507:
Hmmmm, I beg to differ with you on that. The BMW 507 gets respect & attention especially from high end collectors.

Elvis himself bought one in Germany when he was in the army.

The 507 fully restored can bring an easy $400k-900k at an auction easy (if you can find one).

BMW never made money on this car. It took a huge lost!

If I recall only 250 were built.
