For European Delivery: How do they package up the car?

What I mean is, if I partake in the European Delivery, after I drive it around a bit, do they put back those white panel stickers on the exterior panels for protection of the finish during transit?? They must, right?

Does anyone know for sure?

European Delivery, by the way, is the program we have here in USA that allows us to pick up our cars in Munich in person.

They just drive the car on the ship. No protection applied. You really need to wash the car before you drop it off after ED so they bugs don't sit on the paint for weeks.

Yea. But then I wouldn't get a 7% savings (on top of already low USA prices) and an opportunity to drive on the autobahn. You can have your South Africa factory.

Also, if you have a light colored interior, get some seat covers before you drop off your car. The GF has a beige leather interior, and there were blue stains on the seats that we weren't ever able to get off. I think that the drivers who drove the car to the port or the people on the ship wore blue coveralls and the blue dye came off on the seats.
