Body work done at Impressive!!!!

I would like to start with saying thanks to everyone in this forum that I got a lot of useful information from this forum such as how to deal with dealer and how to start modifying the car.

Long time reader but wasn't active in this forum. However, today, I would like to share my experience at the impressive. So that people like me ,short of money all the time , and need excellent body work, this maybe a useful information for them.

Today, I went to the Impressive for damaged rear bumper about two weeks ago due to snow. My car spun out at the parking lot and hit ice rock on the side walk.

I called several body shop that I knew and even went to the body shop near my house for estimation. Most of the body shop suggest me to change the whole bumper for 900 to 1000 dollars. I asked them if they can straighten up because i couldn't afford that much money (still student). They don't recommend that route ,however, they can try it. They quote me between 500 to 600 dollars for straighten up.

Hoping that I could get some useful information from e90post in the NY sub forum. I found Impressive thread and read good reviews and bad reviews. But looks like Impressive has reasonable price. I e mailed John first explained the damages and sent pictures of rear bumper. He responded within hour and told me to call him. I called him and told him that "I am e90post member and read your thread. Can you able fix it? Give me a good price" He answered "of course I can fix it and will give you good price. I will do it for 250" I was like It was really easy to deal with him and pretty much straight forward.

I had little doubt about his work (i know i am getting what i paid for) but i had no choice because of my financial status. Today I went to the Impressive and stayed there from 8 in the morning to 5 in the evening.
Their body work was beyond my expectation. Body work came out really nice, looks like brand new again. Here are some photos that I took while they are working on my vehicle. Thank you John once again I would love to bring my car back to your place if anything happens to the car. In addition to that, I am sure John will give us really good price for modification, installation, refinishing the wheel too .

I had my trim painted matte black by Impressive Auto and it came out great. They did the job back when they ran that weekend oil change promotion, so it has been a few weeks now of wear and tear. Absolutely no peeling or bubbling, even with all the salt and snow. Could pass for a factory job. They gave my car back to me cleaner than when i dropped it off (plus no overspray)! Here are some photos of their work.

Does the trim special end at the end of the month? Or will it continue past February?

I replaced front brake rotors and brake pads which are oem for $450.

I used to go Impressive when I drove supercharged e46 330ci and I had a

good experience with them.

I just had them spray my trim matte black this past wknd and I'm very satisfied w/their work and how flexible they were. I dropped my car off on Fri evening and they were able to get it back to me on Sat. afternoon all cleaned up and ready to go. Jon's a good guy who took care of everything (incl. replacing my headlight ballast). I drove from PA and was spending the wknd in NY anyway, so it worked out great. Not sure abt the neg feedback on here, but I have to say I'm satisfied and would recommend them for this sort of work.

Here's some pics (yes, I need a drop badly!!):

I've been bringing my E53 4.4i and my old E46 (now sold) to Impressive for routine maintenance since the Summer of '09. This winter they replaced my alternator, rear control arms, brake pads and shocks on my E53.

Earlier this summer, my A/C would only blow out hot air, and they quickly figured out that a water valve was the issue. Before that, a different shop charged me to change the FSR and gave me the car back in the same exact condition. There have been other instances when Impressive saved me a fortune, in comparison to what I would have paid at the dealer.

Before Impressive I had a horrible experience with an indy shop that specializes in BMWs in the Queens area, which left me with the bill for a rebuilt transmission on my E46. At the time, people on E46Fanatics recommended I give Impressive a shot and I'm glad I did.

I would love to see someone talk bad about impressive... It would be either speculation or hate bcuz they want to promote someone else shop. He backs up his work and is straight forward doesn't feed you b.s. Which is what I can respect, dnt tell me to do this and do that and when it doesn't work take my money and tell me well try this then lol...
