2004 BMW Z4 3.0 Sport Wheel Fitment

Im sure many people have asked this question before and I did some reading on the other threads but most people have had there cars lowered on Eibach or some other springs...

My car is stock height and was wondering what the best fitment for my car would be, the stock in the front is 225/40/18 offset 47 and rear is 255/35/18

I was interested in going

19x8.5 in the front offset?
19x9.5 in the rear offset?

Also, tire wise I was thinking

245/40/19 in the front (maybe 245/35/19)?
275/35/19 in the rear

Will this rub? Or what is the best size to go with?

Thanks in advance

wheel fitment questions can be answered here...

http://www.zpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=443995

if you're not planning on changing any suspension components/settings, on a non-///m an 8.5" wheel in front with any offset more aggressive than et40 will most likely rub on the fender liners at 235 or wider. many of the other members here have had that result. 275 in back shouldn't be too big of an issue as long as the offsets are appropriate. if this were me looking at this upgrade, i'd install the following...

235/35R19 on 8.5" et40
275/30R19 on 9.5" et45

this should be no rubbing on stock susp/settings, and also no stretched tire look on the wheel. definitely consider an alignment after install though... adding an inch to tread width and increasing rear track will do weird things to toe-in.

thanks for the info.

I wanted to do 245/40/19 and 275/35/19. Do you think that will fit? And would I use the same offset you suggested? I already have a set of tires that size, that is why I wanted to use them and I will probably be able to get more through a friend of mine.

Thanks

those tire sizes are absolutely going to rub. you'll be adding 1.5" + to overall diameter in the front... aka NOT GOOD.

try this website...

http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCalculator.asp

... it will show you everything that changes when you play with different tire sizes.

my general rule of thumb for a non-///m... don't go smaller than oem in overall diameter and don't go larger than 3% over oem in overall diameter.
