It doesn't actually work that way. As seen with Desi4LIFE and Andry's dyno. On looks like timing adjustments, the other looks to modify the A/F and valve timing events. If it were that easy, Evolve would have an N51 tune already.

Is there any update on this? Not looking for anything specific. Just a ballpark figure like if it's something that could come out this summer or is this something that'll likely take till end of year.

its never going to happen. just go with Aa tune or OFT

Wish I could say, but I don't know.

My car makes more peak power now than any other AA/Evolve car with a tune - but the powerband sucks. In fact, with the 3 stage stock or with a tune, my car is weaker than it was with the single stage with a tune.

So, I have some free time this week to check out what's really wrong and get back on the dyno. At that point, we can have an accurate comparison between the three.

I am interested in this. As long as it shows some improvement over the Active tune or does something with the DISA we have

***Edit: I have NO interest in this now. Since I dyno'd my car and saw the ridiculous power gains the AA tune is already giving me, I'm not spending another dime on engine mods!

harrytruman Any updates?

If I haven't purchased a 128i yet, am I better finding a N52 and getting the DISA and tune installed or get the N51 that has the DISA and get a tune?

Looking for a new track toy and for now it's looking like a 128i.

They're fairly equivalent but n51's are "easier' since they don't require an intake manifold swap. The compression difference is negligible on paper and some dyno's have showed that.

Sorry for the delays, everyone. The Evolve n51 tune isn't happening. Talks with them stretched on for long enough that I finally decided to throw in the towel after it became apparent that they didn't have the resources to spare for getting the tune fully functional. Sorry to get your hopes up.
