I'm interested but not for $100 more than you bought them for

If you're willing to sell them for a realistic price let me know

Haaaa. Yeah I had to go back and read that one twice. How is the sale price more than the purchase price?

Lol I know. Wheels don't appreciate.

OP: I'll give you $3400 shipped right now if you can post pictures of all wheels with some way of me knowing they are in your possession. PM me

Porteno was the one who started the effort for the RG63 way back when. I don't doubt he has them but he likely also then may find them worth more than new since they are the last set around new in the box. No agreeing, just explaining. Not that many sets of gunmetal around in these wheels and it is a spectacular finish.

Its easy then - just go buy them from a vendor....oh wait you can't. Supply and demand will set the price on these. A group buy for 50+ wheels is different than buying a single set as far as fair market value goes.

Price seems very reasonable to me given what they are.

The problem is that I don't "demand" them that much to pay over what OP paid or even close. Check out what previous RACs have sold for. My offer is fair IMO and if OP doesn't want to sell them for that, he won't get my money. I'll probably end up just buying some new BBS LM's if I don't get these.

Its not really a problem, the OP doesn't "need" to sell them to you necessarily, hence the supply and demand. No need to hack on the price, just make an offer and see if he accepts. Pretty elementary really.

Previous threads were not for brand new wheels.
Great wheels and well worth the price IMO.

While rarity may be an appealing trait for some things, wheels are not one of them. Only 75 sets made? What happens if you need a replacement wheel?

I'll pass.

+1 I actually never thought of that. If you bend/crack a wheel all 4 are done.

Shep has kept some spares for each run they've done in the past in case of something like this, I would imagine the same is the case with the RG63. If you bend/crack one of these you have a bigger problem than finding a new wheel... lol

To be fair, the demand for them at full price may be questionable. Last time I checked, I believe there have been 2 outstanding sell orders on this board for used RG63s.

Anyways, the wheels are great. And for a new set, it may be a little different. GLWS.

Don't worry about the spares. I have a brand new front and rear wheel for those who need it. Still in the boxes

Thanks Jaypod and Stalker. To be honest, I don’t spend much time on the forum and wouldn’t say that I have a good feel for what a set of wheels like this might sell for. Last time I talked to Shep he told me, “whatever you do, don’t sell your [new] wheels for less than what you bought them for.” Shep sells most of his new sets, even years after production, for closer to $5,000.

Not sure what's so special that anyone would pay that much for them in the first place.

So paying $5000+ for HRE wheels that are not nearly as well made makes more sense???

I have owned 2 sets of HREs and a ton of other wheels from other manufacturers, and to get this quality compared to other brands at this price is very good.

Go through the original RAC thread in the wheel section. There were a lot of haters early on... then they all bought the wheels. If you need more convincing, search RAC on M3Forum, E46 M3 section and Roadfly E36 and E46 M3 sections.

Your opinion I guess. I'd take a set of HREs any day over these.
