I'm interested in lens, but the speculation about the pricing has me a bit put off.

I don't understand those primes at all. Isn't half the point of a wide angle prime to have a fast aperture?

I guess most of these will be used on things like the C300 video camera as opposed to the DSLRs though.
bigger opening too... 82mm is massive

On my newish laptop (bought in summer) it runs "ok" and i sourced out a pretty powerful laptop with a quad core.

On my home PC that's over 3 years old with a quad core and 8gigs of ram (same as my laptop) I have no problem running it at all. I'm wondering if it's because my home PC has a 10k rpm drive in it.

I saw a Canon 50/55mm F 0.95 which went for almost $1k and some Canon white lenses. Most stuff ends up selling retail.

It was a 1960 lens, so no autofocusing for you...
You actually had to turn the lens to focus and pick aperture. It was for the Canon 7 rangefinder.

ahhh gotcha, the only one 1 or .95 I have come across in the recent past is Leica. So that explains it.

I bought this yesterday...

http://www.neewer.com/macro-ring-lig...-a200-new.html

It should be delivered today, along with my new watch. Hopefully this will allow me to take some nicer shots with my Macro lens this weekend.

somehow I missed your post Reed. The RAM helps, but it's probably the faster HD that makes the difference.
