Jb4 G5 Iso Question

Did some searching around and still can't find an answer. Today I found out I have a G5 board when I always thought I had the G4. I want to do the ISO upgrade and then update the software. Do I remove the two black diodes completely or just cut the left side on both and lift so it doesn't make contact as shown in picture terry put up? Thanks! Any tips and tricks would be appreciated!

I'm pretty sure either way works

Best bet is to cut them off & remove them from the case.

+1 eliminates the chance of accidental contract.

Have had the G5 since the beginning and never had heating issues.

upon install i let the car run for about 5 mins to make sure everything was good before i closed up shop and i put my hand on the board and it was very warm...not warm to the point where the case would melt but it was def warmer than the g4 would have been

Yeah I wonder if the jb4 out of the housing could melt parts of the ecu box or wires/connectors?

+1 case is fine. That being said, I don't think its necessary but if you stick a case-less one into its own section of the ECU coffin you should be fine. Mine with its case sits in the front most section of the coffin.

Yeah I did that but for some reason it downloads hex file into adobe? So I don't know if that's right. So what's wrong?

Just download the file into a folder and open with the JB4 software.
