developed my first three rolls of film tonight.
don't have a scanner at my new place though. :\

the second round was pretty easy, the first one was annoying because i don't have big enough measuring cups/cylinders for my 1L tank that holds two 120 rolls. so the second batch, i just did one roll and 500mL. didn't spill anything that time.

I could be wrong though...

Glad you're having fun with the dark room and the new body! Can't wait to see final versions.

They look at least exposed correctly, nice grain and found a use for the shower curtain rod.

if you'll get the use out of it, you can justify it

From what I've seen, you do scan more then most people.

i have a scanner, but it's at my mother's place since i was scanning all of my grandmother's old photos there. but i've never hooked it up to my Mac. and it's kind of a cheap-o Epson 4490. the 750 seems pretty legit, short of the $15,000 ones from Imoscan or whatever.

Unless you're starting a business where you're scanning peoples slides for them, leave the 15k one alone

can't hurt to have a backup scanner if one goes wrong or is at someone elses house

The good news is that the tracking app now says delivery should be Monday.

This thing better live up to the description on Amazon. It's supposedly brand new.

rodi, I've done some work with film many years ago and I'm pretty sure you need to do more than hang the negs in a shower. If I remember right, there's another step in the workflow. I seem to remember a big projector-like thing on a stand that pointed down and using special paper, or something like that. It's been a long time.

ha. that's funny.
yeah I don't think I'm going to be able to have a real darkroom for print development. one day. for now, I'll just scan negatives.

I think the manufacturer was Bessler and they were called optical configulators which also used Silver when it was $2 an ounce. You might be able to find one in Kodaks museum.

She's here. I left my damn CF cards at home in my other bag, though. So no pics right now.

I need to run out to Best Buy at lunch and grab a CF card.

My T1i feels small already.

lol, that's such a tease for you!!!

Always the way with life, once you get excited about something, there's always that one thing that gets in the way

Congrats on the purchase/delivery. You'll love the sharpness! ISO should be better then the T1i as well.

Looking forward to the shots later

Got a question, though. This was listed as "Brand New," which it is. I ran the shutter count app and the count is zero. The clock on the camera was also not set. I'm not debating the new status, but it was obviously part of a kit with a 28-135mm lens. This wasn't in the original listing and for the price I paid, I'm not concerned about that per se. But now I'm wondering if/how it will affect the warranty. It came with a USA warranty card, but nothing on it was filled out. Am I screwed as far as the warranty goes or what?

I believe those warranty cards are to be filled out and sent in to register the camera to yourself. (could be wrong without seeing the card)

And that's a nice little treat getting an extra lens as part of the deal

I'm told it's a nice lens, but a little on the soft focusing side, but definitely a good walk around with lots of range.
