Lightbulb CDV Delete: Wait till after the break in period?

As some of you may know, I had a rather unfortunate experience recently (as detailed in this thread), that required a new clutch, pressure plate, and flywheel, at a mere 23k miles.

Anyway, I have had the new clutch in for about 300 miles now and I have two questions:
  1. What is the authoritative amount of miles one must drive until the clutch is "broken in"?
  2. Would it hurt to delete/mod the CDV sooner?

For number 1, I've heard 200, 500, and 1000 miles. :wtf: Those were from (in order): E46 ZHP driver, preowned buyer for a local Acura dealer/friend, Northwest BMW. I really want to take out the CDV because I'm annoyed with the uncivility of my shifts from 1>2>3 and 3>2.

i heard 300 miles is when the clutch is broken in and at the peak of its life. i would do the mod ASAP, because what the CDV does to protect the differential is restrict fluid from the clutch, and thus causing burns to it. so the sooner the better

No harm if you do it right away, perhaps even better as jib noted...
