Id like to know the outcome of putting the gloss on them... Is this a "permanent" solution? Will it stay on for a while? Thanks

This just gave me an idea. I think I'll plasti dip my wheels for the winter. It'll be good protection against road salt. I can rip them off in the Spring. Brilliant.

Great idea, Just remember to put on 5 layers of plasti dip if its for winter driving. that's what I've done so that it's atleast durable etc.

PlastiDipped Wheels 2

Hey guys I just dipped my wheels also, am very happy with them.

My hand is tired from spraying it though and it took around 6 hours to do with the prep time included.
Top Advice: Don't rush, start light and be in the garage where it is not windy.
As you can see I have a few blemishes on the rim but I have found out that I can use watered down paint thinner to flatten those areas and then respray to fix.
So will do that later on.

I like the contrast of colours.

I've had my badge and grill coated for over a year with absolutely no fade, peel, or anything. I took my kindneys apart to where I had only the chrome part to paint an I think that made it a lot better.

Try again, I just checked it. UPS ships to Cali :

They have a lot of DIY videos with a lot of good tips. Everybody is mentioning a lot of skeptical things and well if u Chk there website they have a lot of good info.

For ordering plasti dip go to harbor freight tools or Home Depot, to name a few.
