Prices on M6's?

I am familiar with M3 pricing now, but has anyone been following M6 pricing?

Seems like there are some good deals. What do you think a 08 loaded, white, manual M6 is worth? It was a demo, but only has like 200 miles on it (which doesnt bother me at all). Is a $24K discount great, or just so-so? I'm guessing we could do better because I'm hearing of $20K discounts on M3's. Did BMW have incentive pricing on the m6 like the $7500 they had on the M3?

Is there a market for these cars still? Seems like there are a lot for sale around.

if you can get a $24k discount on a 200 mile 2008, that would be awesome. market for these cars brand new is pretty slow. a lot of people are going for used right now...

I doubt they're discounting M3's at that amount. If so, no one would buy a 335.

The M6 has been out for a few years now and there are used ones at 50% of what a new one costs, that's the reason they can offer such a deep discount.

Well think of it this way, the bigger the discounts on new cars, the less resale value the car has. You save a little money now, but you lose a lot later.

But if your planning on owning a car for a long time then it could be a very good deal to pick up a car now with huge discounts

That is true, but most people who buy cars like that keep them for a few years, and rarely drive them. Then they try and sell them for close to the original sticker price so they didnt really spend that much money on them.

Of course thats not all people, just most.

Even if that were the case, if we're talking about a highly desirable car like the M3, then its pretty safe to say that it will still hold its value pretty well

Why? The cycle goes like this, dealer discounts new car to be more attractive than a used car, used car prices go down to be more attractive than new, etc. etc.

Adding a huge discount onto a highly desirable car is just a catalyst for shitty resale values, unless there are extremely limited numbers. Were talking hundreds to thousands here.

Btw, im taking this advice straight from a specialist, not just what i think or my opinion.

Well...... speaking for just myself here, I would love to get a M3 for $20k off sticker. Even if it does hurt the resale value

You can get 08 M3's at $50K now. The selections are almost gone though as is the official incentive, and it would depend on whether or not the dealer punched it to get the $7500 off that bmw gave. Add in a demo car, with some miles and $50K is attainable.

MSRP on an 09 e90 M3 is only $54,850. Add $3k for e92.
