Stock market tips and experiences

Market acting like this is a sign that it's topping out. It doesn't mean we enter the bear market this month, but the market is no longer as bullish/stable as it has been the past couple of years. Looking at TVIX I'm wishing I bought some, lol.

So many people are gonna buy TVIX and get their asses handed to them assuming we don't have a crash within the next couple days.. (we're not). A random stat I didn't come up with..

VIX rose 32%+ in a single day, so next day SPY has 71% chances to close in green.

I will probably buy AMD around tues or wed. 3.40-55 is possible.
Bought/Sold AMD for past 11-12 quarter.
I will probably buy SEP or OCT calls month prior.

Would people really be so gung ho on tvix now? It just gained damn near 20%. I'd like to think that the average joe would see that as a huge red flag. No one wants to buy on the rise.

If S&P500 manages to hit 2000, I'll buy TVIX at whatever its at (probably low to mid 2s)

Looks like AMD missed the quarter and is down almost 20% this morning. If you're gonna buy some, now looks like a good time to get in cheap!

I ended up buying more AAPL shares yesterday after the pullback. Unfortunately, I didn't wait long enough, but still up on the day. I've only been at this a couple of months so I still have a lot to learn.

Thanks to Mact, I learned a bit about volume and price. Using that knowledge, it seems to me that TWTR is a good buy at these levels. I won't enter long until it breaks above and holds $42, but on a 4-hour time frame it looks great for the $60s. There is also positive divergence with respect to MACD and price.

7/29 earning? opinion?
TA looks okay, but change in fundamental and Worldcup + NEW sub may disappoint.
I am thinking about selling on or before 28th.

Ugh, earning reports suck as TA goes out the window. I think they beat though but I guess TWTR could fall out as a potential trade.

Will Ackman is holding a press conferance today and he claims he will destroy Herbalife today. He even invited the Herbalife CEO and his team lol.

I think it's anybody's guess right now. I need to stop checking it every day though, haha. I keep telling myself I'm in it for the long haul, but I still check it.

I am going to get in if I can right away and sell it quickly for a quick profit (couple of % hopefully). I don't want to mess with volatility.

I've been in for years now with AAPL, I'm actually thinking about exiting soon.

Speaking of Herbalife. I am not a short nor long, but they are like those Amway/Priamerica/Quixstar/WMA(WFG) pyramid junk. I agree with Bill, and I hope FTC fines Herbalife big time. However, I do not think they will get shut down.

So for the heck of it picked up some KO august 16th 42 calls. Minus the negative earnings I think she will erase the last three days by then.
