Angry SAN DIEGO F30 hit-run repair? Help!

Hi all, I'm new to San Diego and haven't a clue as to the good vs. bad repair shops and collision repair shops. I can't fathom that my dealer is the best in town. So any recommendations are GREATLY appreciated!!!

Some F---kerrrrr backed into my loaded, parked, '13 335i M-Sport, with just 1,050 miles on the clock, as it sat parked, while I was transferring my motorcycle(s), BMW s1000rr, from my old home to my new.

Observable Damage is confined to the front right / passenger side:

Bumper trashed
Quarter panel disfigured (probably trashed)
Headlight unit trashed (HIDs)
Headlight & Quarter Panel impacted hood, damage to hood is present
Wheel well liner trashed
Misc. bolts and body clips missing / popped off in impact
Kidneys trashed (was going to get blacked out ones anyway)

I'm guessing the damage is in the $7-$8k territory. The car has been garaged ad is alpine white. Hopefully color matching won't be too hard. My insurance, USAA, HAS BEEN GREAT SO far. No increase in premiums, etc.

But, I'm guessing the challenge will be finding parts. Luckily there appears to be zero frame damage. No alignment issues. No wheel scratches. It was probably a tap from a pickup, but our cars are so fragile, even a minor impact can inflict grave damage.

I'd like to get repairs underway ASAP. The earliest my dealer can even look atthe car is Nov. 5th.

Forget that! This is only my 3rd claim in 20-yrs. (All claims have been hit & runs).

I'm a major enthusiast and spend 2-days detailing my vehicles, once I start. Hence, I'm looking for perfection or as close to perfection as possible.

Again, any referrals for San Diego or within the SAN area would be greatly appreciated. I'll post photos when I the chance and keep this post updated with repair estimates, etc. thanks again, all.

Cheers,
Wolf

BMW of San Diego is the only certified body shop in SD (unless you want to drive to Escondido)

Wow man! I'm so sorry to hear about your hit and run. At least your insurance is doing a excellent job and picking up the tab w/o a premium increase, and rightly so.

Damage of this scale should be repaired at a BMW Certified Collision and Repair Center. Expect the repair to be the same level of quality as the VPC, using all OEM parts. In the SD area, BMW of Escondido and BMW of San Diego are CCRCs, so try them. If your insurance company pushes you towards their own contract shops, insist on a CCRC argue that it is recommended by your manufacturer.

Good luck!

The BMW certified shops in SD are not where I would take my vehicle or even refer someone, I worked in the auto body industry in San Diego for years and would suggest Fender Mender (760) 436-5575 326 N El Camino Real Encinitas, CA 92024 they will use only OEM parts and make sure to return your car to pre accident condition. Read their Yelp and online reviews they speak for themselves.
