Will this fit?

Typical wheel question.

I have style 159 rims on my 08 328xi. I want to put on style 5s from a 99 528i sport.

Old wheels: 17x8 et34 225/45r17 (style 159)

New wheels: 17x8 et20 235/45r17 (style 5 aka bbs rc090)

I used the calculator and it says " 14mm MORE clearance on the strut side, and the outside edge of the wheel will EXTEND an extra 14mm."

It's a 1.399% difference. I've seen this done on other 328s but idk if they are I or xi.

Thanks in advance,
Will

The wheels will fit, but you might need to use the 225/45/17's. The 235/45/17's might work, but it will be close up front.

The difference in tire sizes doesn't matter on an xi if you are using the same sized tires front and back.

True 225/45/17 will be better choice. Since he has pre-lci E90 i would suggest 10mm spacer to rear it match the front better. Here is my winter setup 17x8 et20 225/45/17.
