'Ibis' white e92 build thread x5 20s aggressive

Hi guys, im Lex from Luton, UK..
ive been appreciating everyone elses cars on here so thought id share mine!

original specs:
BMW 325i e92 SE model
sapphire black metallic
auto
cream/grey cloth interior & cream carpets
pretty bog standard.. until some tool decided to do a very bad paint job on the car... fortunately this is where I came in!
Here it is as I bought it..

Im a sprayer and was able to bring this car back to life, stripped it down and re-painted it in audi Ibis white (just fancied something a bit brighter to stand out from alpine white), leaving the roof the original black, and the wing mirrors.. painted the grills black and added full M Sport kit all round.
Upgraded the interior by stripping all seats, cards, carpet and headliner and changed to black m sport interior and sprayed the lower section of the dash to match original.
Bought 4x 2009 X5 m Sport 20 inch front alloy wheels and refurbished them in black with a white lip. Added 25mm rear spacer and 20mm front spacer and sat the car on JOM coilovers to give it a nice aggressive stance.

Had the 335 style exhaust conversion done on it too (by EMP of St.Albans, great quality work and lifetime garuantee)

And that's how it sat for a little while until my best friend made me an offer for it I couldn't refuse!

He wanted a couple of things changed so I refurbed the wheels for him and did a diamondcut style finish with gunmetal inserts

and he upgraded to NeverEnoughMods angel eyes like the LCI model

and whilst I was finishing paintwork he changed the black interior to the sexy Red nappa m sport interior!

Got himself a private plate to finally make the car his! (Deane)

and this it how it sits now complete

Thanks for looking guys. my aplogies for the poor quality of the pics, most of them ive taken from our instagram pages, the car looks so sick in the flesh.
If you're interested you can follow this cars progress with deane on his instagram deane1992
I will upload progress on my new 335i on here shortly you can check it out in the meantime on my instagram lexxjm

I don't love the wheels either, but that paint job is beautiful! Great work!

Love the colour. 20s are just too big for my taste but overall car looks tidy.

How did u find the JOMS?

Thanks simmo, for a budget coilover they're not bad! Don't get me wrong I wouldn't opt for budget coil overs on a track car, they're purely for styling, but they fitted a peice of cake, the ride is smooth and comfy, no more harsh than the normal suspension to be honest! Can't complain for the price at all. One thing to be noted is that the body of the front struts is thicker than standard and most people require a 5mm spacer on your wheels for inside clearance

Yeh I had them on my E90 before the BC's and was interested to hear someone elses experience of them. Like yourself I got them for cheap lows. But I had no end of issues with them which made me change to the BC's. I think if I hadnt maxed out the lowering on them i probably wouldnt have had soo many issues. Which you confirm as you found them ok at a more conservative height.

So if you sold this car what do you have now?

Oh I see, thanks for letting me know! I've used them on about 4 cars now, the only time I had problems was on my e46 I removed the helper springs to get lower and then it seemed to chew up the anti roll bar drop links very quickly, maybe because they were cheap too, I'm not sure.. I now have an e93 335i I have repainted Monte Carlo blue and adding some nice touches to it, this will be more oem styling than this white one

Lol sorry dude. Just wanted an unbiassed opinion. Yeah the antiroll links I had to swap out twice in 12months. In the end they sent me fk ones which were better quality.

Looking forward to seeing pics of the E93. Looking to get mine resprayed or wrapped hopefully next year. What kind of price was the respray approx if you dont mind me asking?

No I mean thanks for letting me know you had issues when going low, I'll keep an eye on them! To be honest the respray has not cost me a lot at all because I'm a sprayer ! I bought the car damaged and pretty much gutted the whole thing and changed everything! I'll get on the computer over the weekend and upload some pics of progress

I'm thinking about getting 20" for my 328i. How's the ride? Do they rub or anything

They are no worse than standard to be honest as I was still running a 35 profile tyre. They wouldn't have rubbed but I spaced them out the give the car a more fitted stance so I trimmed and pulled the inside of the rear arches the tiniest bit, and the new owner has fitted exhaust rubbers around the rear shocks to stop the rear having as much travel under load
