Help... What exhaust should i buy ??
Hi, i don t know what exhaust to buy to upgrade my stock one.. What do you think ?? Berk, Eisenmann, BMW performance, cp-e or any other one you know ?? I am thinking in the Eisenmann one because of its 4 exhaust tips. What advices would you give me in order to maximise performance from manifold to tips ??? (e.g: 3" instead of 2.5")

Your video has totally messed me up. I was set on either the BMW PE or the MadDad but the sound quality from that camera of yours has added the Magnaflow to my short list. I never thought I'd consider putting anything from Magnaflow on my car but yours sounds damn good!

I have the PE and I love it but I agree with onefastman. can't beat eisenmann. top quality with an amazing sound but pricey. if I had to do it again it would be eisenmann

If you have money to blow. Eisenmann or Meisterschaft. BMW sounds great IMO but the exhaust tubing is still all bent and gross like the stock one.
Best band for you buck (high quality materials and great r&d) would be Maddad. |

Resonator Delete Dinan Exhaust
I've been running the Dinan exhaust for around 3 months now on my N54 car and whilst I'm happy enough with the sound compared to stock, it only really sounds OK with the windows down
BEN14142001 did the resonator delete and was pretty positive about it. Could any of you guys expand on whether this resonator delete mod with the Dinan exhaust made much of a difference? A lot of guys seem to rave about the BMW PE with the N54 and I wouldn't be surprised whether it's the fact that the BMW PE deletes the resonator that is the reason for the better sound. I wouldn't mind a slightly more ballsy sound as long as there isn't too much drone at highway speeds and the resonator delete with the current Dinan exhaust might just do the trick. Any thoughts?

I've had the Magnaflow. It does sound good and at a really good price, BUT, there is very noticable drone, especially in an Automatic car, cruising on the highway in 6th gear/Drive, anywhere from 60-75mph....
I have heard the meisterchaft GT with midpipes and it sounds redonkulous in person, only very, very slight drone. I just picked up a Maddad whisper with agency midpipe. After install, I'll post videos. |

The BMW PE which I fitted a couple weeks ago made be burn through 3 tanks of gas between a Tuesday and Friday of the same week on an island on which the farthest distance between two points is aound 18 miles, and the total area is 28 sq miles. The BMW PE is that good. I've been such a bad boy with this thing that I now have myself on a week of self-inflicted punishment - at all times revs < 2000 rpm until tomorrow. It's almost cheating coz my fuel tank is showing 1/2 (unheard of for me coz I filled up on Sunday, today is Friday and I have done my usual drives all week) and I'm still having a lotta fun because the exhaust emits intoxicating sound at every point in the rev range, including at those points (say 1,800 to 2,200) at which I've heard other owners complain of "drone". All I hear is a low bassy, sweet tone that is mesmerizing. In any event, the experience is a festival of pops, burbles and wails. I can finally hear the true 6-cylinder burble from the engine. Get the PE; you won't be disappointed.

Installed the AA exhaust yesterday. There is definitely some drone but man when you let the car rip it gets everyone's attention. Love the burble and it happens every time when you downshift!

Active Autowerke Signature 135i Axle-Back Exhaust
The Active Autowerke 135i Exhaust fits the N54 and N55 135i's. We have installed several of our signature axle back exhaust on the new N55 135i and the fitment is spot on. The exhaust not is slightly different from the N55 compared to the N54 due to the changes in the the engine design.
