I am planning on putting on some 19x8.5 +35 and 19x9.5 +33 m6 reps on my e90 with sport suspension. i will probably add a drop with KWs later on. for the tires i planning to go with 235/35/19 front and 265/30/19 rear. i would rather not roll my fenders.

should i go with Yokohama S-drives or Falken FK-42s? I am not tracking, etc. just city and hwy driving. Is the tire size OK?

Tire & wheel size are both great but on an e90 they might not be as flush as they'd be on an e92, but not bad either. I've decided that I'm going for "softer" riding tires when I'm ready for the next set, but I haven't done the research yet as that's a long way off. The only thing I'd recommend against is going with cheap, low quality tires. Tire Rack is a great resource for tire research.

Lost my front run flat the evening before Thanksgiving over 200 miles from my destination. The only tire I could find without being towed for miles to a BMW dealer was a Falken 512. I had both fronts replaced and I have to admit I would have not gone with these tires if I had another choice. However, after a 500 mile return trip today, I am impressed with the tire and will leave them on. Both tires installed at DT was approximately $260.

anyone running on m6 reps on an e90? what size tires and what kind of suspension? did u have to roll fenders?

why not take something from top tier range for better emergency performance, just in case? probably overall difference will be couple hundred bucks... You may not track the car but you won't detune the 306hp either.

Michelin PS2 is what i've been using but you can try GY Eagle F1 is good if you get more rain (michelins start floating in water a bit sooner). Bascially anything from Bridgestone, Michelin, GoodYear and Continental will be good. Top tier tyres perform well not just when new, but also when used a lot. Cheaper tyres have inferior layers underneath it seems and give up performance quicker over time. I dont know what in your area, but if you dont mind slightly higher wear than normal, Michelin PS2 or PS3 is a very good tyre - BMW puts it on M cars too. I mean you don't track, i get that so some may say its' an overkill, but Falken 452 is a kinda pretend performance tyre but really isnt, so why look into something that's trying to be fast but isn't anyway. They are noisy too and much worse than Michelins because my previous 3 series had them on and I wanted to get rid of them asap.

PS. michelin makes some other models here in Europe which will be nice if you dont want the cost of PS2 but still a high quality tyre. They are very good at making the ones with low rolling resistance which gives some 2-3% fuel savings as well.

I had s.drives on my G35 coupe and loved them(20inch wheels too). Much better than the stock potenzas the car came with. I'm waiting on my wheels to arrive so I'm searching as well. I have it narrowed to the hankook ventus and yoko s. Drives. Both are similar in price, treadware, and reviews I've read.

Both the S.Drives and FK452's are great tires for the money. If you do any kind of spirited driving here and there, S.Drives will offer you slightly more grip.

With the setup you're going with, you will be fine with a 235/35 front and 265/30 rear. As far as tires, go with the Yoko's hands down! The Falkens are crap. If you have to go with the Falkens, go for the Hankook Ventus V12's.

I'd go with Hankook ventus prime - they are close to Michelin Primacy HP, but may be ride a bit harsher, but overall a good budget tyre.

I'd strongly consider the Conti Extreme Contact DW for a top Tier performance tire with some emphasis placed on ride quality. The price is reasonable as well.
