The three I see above (quad headlights, Hoffmeister kink, double-kidney grill) plus one more (short front overhang).

correct me if i'm wrong but not all audis have the leds in the headlamps (if you're referring to those on the r8, a5, ...). by your logic, the audi leds which you base your argument off of are only used in the "higher end" audis that not even the lower end audi's can add-on with an option upgrade...at least the bimmers can add it on and not look so out of place (an a3 with leds in the headlamps would look kind of weird).

i was looking up the a3 and man these 18" wheels look familiar...

This is true!

The highest form of flattery is..................

Kidney grilles -- Someone suggested Pontiac
Hofmeister Kink -- Didn't Opel,Hyundai, Lexus design cars with this?
Four headlights -- BMW the only one?
Bangles --- Lexus Toyota?

Kiemyster,

If you got the xenon's standard Mr. Manning would only tax them to help pay for the governments new executive jet.....

Whether somebody else uses them or not does not make them not be a trademark. A trademark does not have to be brand specific. Otherwise, there is no trademark. People are always going to copy what they think is a good idea. That's what Japanese "luxury" brands do.

BMWs just use all of those on all their cars. Since the early 70s, name off one Bimmer that didn't have all of those. Besides the Bangle styling of course.

I rest my case.

I think some of you are missing the point... A signature trademark for a car would be if they took a car, from any year or generation... debadged it completely so there is no words or numbers on the car, and then from that, being able to tell who made the car..

or another example... if they had spy shots of a car, and you can only see the twin kidneys, automatically you will know/assume its a BMW. or if they showed those ugly ass Altezza lights 10 years ago, you will know it was Lexus.

Strange, standard five series in Britain have corona rings round the lights and they definitely don't have xenons (no headlight washers).

Ewww true with the pontiac...I don't think other car brands should duplicate a style...Shouldn't they be more orginal with designs.
