I hear you man! The worst part of BMW ownership for me has been the dealer experience.

Make sure you have the right sunroof installed in your car!

Our X3's roof leaked for over a year off and on. We have had every thing done from new roofs to new cassettes. Ended up being the wrong roof installed causing many of the problems.

Three different problems have occurred related to the sunroof leaking. 2 were dealer error and one was drain hole related. THis actually happened twice!

As stated earlier the dealer installed the wrong year roof. There are 3 different roof designs for years 04-07. Most recently we had the rubber seal come loose where the two pieces come together.

My advice from having the X3 in the shop over 2 months the last year for sunroof issues. EVERY OTHER OIL CHANGE HAVE THEM CLEAN OUT THE DRAIN HOLES. Easy and cheap considering the hassle of drying out the car.
