I timed your video 0-60 at over 5 sec. Where's the 3.9 sec coming from?
And since you started at 1K rpm, doesn't look like you used Launch Control at all. :loco:

I'm guessing he meant 0-60kmh

And true cant see launch control there to be honest, the only launch control I've seen is a flag displayed in the centre and it will rev to around 3.5k

My car is an n54 with a step-tronic transmission.
No launch control from bmw, but I discovered that if you do a 2nd gear launch, you can build up to 2500rpm and have no wheel-spin during the first 20ft. When full-throttled, the transmission overrides and sends it back to first gear, thus making it a faster launch. I coined it DWP (Dynamic Wheel-spin Prevention).
If do a first gear launch with traction control, the traction control will kick-in and stop the car; and no traction control will cause a burnout or too much wheel-spin. My technique allows for a faster launch without having the factory launch control.

I don't know how you got up to 5sec. The car starts moving at 2500rpm, not 0rpm, if so then you'll definetely get 5sec. Start the clock after the car stages up to 2500rpm. It's a 2nd gear launch!

No matter what you "coin" it, it's not doing 0-60 in 3.9 sec.

I timed the speedometer in your video, from 0 to 60. I don't care what your rpm is doing.
How did you measure 3.9 sec? Counting mississippis?
That's BS.

I sat there and timed it with a chrono on the speedo of the video and I was getting around 4 every time. My only complaint is that you used a camera phone or something to do the video and the exact time you hit 60 is a guess, due to the camera almost looking at your foot.

....and of course 60mph on the speedo is not a true 60mph as the speedo is set to over-read the speed a little.

I'm getting 4.6-4.8 every time I time it. Definitely not a sub-4 run.

Excellent trick. Tried it on my 135 and I'm not getting any wheelspin at all.
I timed it a few times and I got around 4.1 more or less. Great run and amazing 70-150. Did you remove the gov. lim?

I've heard with the Burger de-limiter a car would go up to 185mph.

Dackelone should chime in here but I remember seeing a figure of 186.4 is that max that our gear ratios will allow the car to go to. That also depends on many variables. I am not sure if a stock 135i with just speed delimiter would hit that speed.

Thanks for the info. Do you think there's a video out there of a 135 hitting 186, I would love to see it!
