The 2002 ti looks nice.

Thanks for sharing OP!

Most of the cars were for sale. Like that 2002i and that e12, 518i. Some cars were for lease only. Some you could even rent for a few hours or a weekend! How cool is that!!

2002i price €21,950 or $29K USd

There are some fantastic cars in that collection. Thanks for sharing. I want one of the Alfa Romeo GTV's. That yellow Lancia Delta is pretty sweet as well.

First of all, my friend... AWESOME pics! Thank you very much for posting.

Second, what in the mother of all that is Holy is a flippin' Kia doing amongst this royalty? Also, there's a blue convertible Beetle about halfway up, did it have Porsche wheels on it?! I know they are kin, but... No... Those wheels, if they are Porsche, do not belong on the Beetle. Sorry. lol

Again, thank you very much, and I look forward to your response!

Frankfurt is also known by Germans as Bankfurt. Because all the banks that are based in Frankfurt. The German DAX (stock exchange) is also based in Frankfurt. Frankfurt am Main is also known as Mainhatten - a refference to all the skyscrapers - making up Frankfurt's skyline, like NYC.

Btw... a lot of the nice collector cars had crazy prices on them. Like all those Porsche 356's in the one corner... they were just normal 356 B cabroilet or a Super90 and they wanted over 100k euros for them each!! I think one had a price of 130K euros!! Crazy prices.

KIA Motors(DE) is also based in Frankfurt. That Kia Soul was a concept car called the "Soul Diva". It had way too much gold and diamonds (I think?) for my tastes.

I really am not sure what the deal was with that blue Beetle with the Porsche wheels. The wheels were real Porsche Boxster wheels. As I recall it did not have a Porsche engine, but a mod'd VW boxer air cooled motor.

I was kind of hoping to see a Oettinger tuned VW's at Klassikstadt - since Oettinger is just North of Frankfurt. But I did not see any.

PS: Next month I will be going back to Klassikstadt for another visit. Since all teh cars are constantly changing (fluid) IF I see anything really tastey I will be sure to post my pics here!

How about ths CSL for the measly sum of 92,500 Euros!! That's $122K in USd! I saw this white CSL at the Meilenwerk in Düsseldorf a few months ago. It was one of just 929 CSL's produced. I had no da these cars were that rare and pricey!

thanks for sharing. Last year we got our company´s christmas party in the KLASSIKSTADT FRANKFURT. It was really cool to party between all the vintage cars. My favorite is the 1979 BMW 5-series E12 in brown. Unfortunately it is the small block 4-cylinder 518 and not the 528, 530 or 533. It is a really nice location in Frankfurt especially during winter season.

Since the Frankfurt IAA (auto show) is coming up next week... I thought I'd give this thread a bump. IF anyone is in the Frankfurt area... I would highly recommend a visit to Klassikstadt. Its free to get in and you will see a few hundred very cool old cars. And best of all... its a living storage center - kind of a living auto museum of sorts.

Love the pictures of the old 518. That's what I learned to drive on! Not quite as nice since it was a 75, and by the time I turned 18, my Dad had owned it for 10 years. Sadly, I killed it about a year later on an icy road.

I've been living in Frankfurt for the last year and never heard about this place. Now I'm leaving next week and wont get to go. At least I made it to the IAA. Great photos!

^^Hahahahaaa! Well... you should have asked me where all the important car places are!

Btw... have you gone to see Rosermeyer's crash site along the A5(heading South) Autobahn? In the 1930's he was driving his AutoUnion test car something like 428 kph before he lost control and died there. There is now a memorial along the side of the Autobahn where his car came to rest in the trees.

Just South of Frankfurt on the A5...

Some other cool places like Klassik-Stadt are these two car storage/museums...
