Normally it is expensive. For a pre-built diff (Wavetrac or Quaife) it will run you around $2200 plus install which is another $600+ If you are within driving distance, or want to ship your diff, this is an amazing deal.

Just need one more. I'm wanting to get mine done around Memorial Day (you can get it done whenever is convenient for you) so hopefully someone else is interested before then so I can take advantage of the reduced install price.

Why is your mileage stopping you? If you are worried about warranty purposes, they dealer won't be able to tell it is installed. Plus Valley Auto World didn't really mind my mods when I was there. Chad is an awesome SA!

Really? It appears the same from the outside? I've seen so many people with the finned covers that I just assumed that. Hmm. Now you're making me want to spend money I don't have. Again.

The finned cover is an option (a very expensive option at $800 if I recall correctly) from VAC Motorsports, but not required by any means. If you were to hop in on this deal you wouldn't need to get a finned cover. The LSD will be installed in your factory diff and the diff cover will remain the same. The only way the dealer would ever know is if they removed the pumpkin and removed the diff cover (which they have no reason to do).

im definitely still interested in this and i would come down within the next couple of days...but is the wavetrac really that good? i still cant understand why people would go the gear type when the clutch type is just a little more money...about 600 dollars more.

Lost Marine holds the curent 1/4 mile record of 11.1 and ran the Wavetrac so I think the unit is pretty solid consideringg the number of launches and drag visits he ran with it. Mr.5 also used it and was very happy with it. His review is on the forum. Shiv went with the Quaife unit and it is holding up fine in the Single Turbo so I think the gear type units work very well. There are many track nuts running them as well. In my opinion, is an OS Giken or Drexler a better unit, yes but for my needs it doesn't justify the cost. The ATB unit will accomplish everything I need them to and at a lower price point.

This link gives one of the best descriptions I have found on the forum:

It pretty much sums everything up.

I'm having my wife take the car to get the install done since I won't be back for a little while longer. I may have to go to Bragg for a few weeks after I get back After leaving there, its even worse having to go back even if just for a short time.

I'd do it but the cost in gas to drive there is close the $$ in savings on the install deal. And I'd want to get other suspension work done at the same time while the subframe is dropped (rear sway, bushings) and don't want to hang in ATL for a few days. Anyway, might be why people aren't all over this. If I was in ATL, I'd definitely jump, sweet deal.

Luckily I should only have to be there for 3 weeks, but I still hate Fayetteville. I liked it when I lived there, but now I regret having to go back.

Boris can install those others parts for you the same day. I also asked him about doing the rear sway bar and subframe bushings while he did my lsd and he said no problem. They are a full service shop and can handle just about anything you need to get done.
