Hi-Res Photos: AW M5 with Akrapovic Exhaust, MS Spacers and H&R Sport Springs

With more M5s coming our way, we're starting to notice a popular modding trend. Installing an exhaust, lowering springs and a set of spacers seems to be the hot ticket for the F10, and it makes sense why. The stock exhaust is so quiet that BMW decided to pump artificial exhaust sounds into the cabin, the stock ride height certainly isn't the sportiest and the fender flares are hardly utilized with the sunken-in stock wheels. This popular trio of modifications along with some painted accent pieces is what most of our M5 customers think their car needs to be complete — or rather, how the car should have come from the factory.

Modifications:
Akrapovic Evolution Titanium Exhaust System (Carbon Fiber Tips)
H&R Sport Lowering Springs
IND Painted Kidney Grilles, Fender Grilles, Reflectors & M5 Badge
Macht Schnell Competition Wheel Spacers (12mm front, 10mm rear)

Enjoy the photos!

Never liked carbon tips until now - amazing with the Alpine White. Question, does going to a 10.5 rear wheel (with correct offset) eliminate the need for a spacers for a more aggressive stance?

Sure, it all depends on the offset. Here is an M5 running 21"x9.5" ET29 front, 21"x10.5" ET30 rear Vorsteiner VS-310 wheels without any spacers.

You won't need spacers with 10.5 ET30 rears.

Yea I was just comparing OEM 20s with spacers to aftermkt 10.5" wheels with the correct offset for our cars.

I actually got the same wheels as you coming from Peter - they just completed today.

The outer position of the rear oem's with 10mm spacer is the same as 10.5 et30's.

I run 20x10.50 on my HRE's with an et 26, lowered with H&R's, and no rubbing. So et30 is even more safe.

And once again EAS provides a beautiful piece of machinery for display.

That is the picture perfect stance! I just did the spacers minus the drop and wasn't sure. (still at show) But seeing it here, just wow.
