Hello everyone,

I am new in this forum.

I am having one question for all videographers. Can anyone of you suggest me good car mount. I want to shoot some stunts from running car?

Which car suction camera mount you guys are using?

I found following two good choices..

Camtree car mount G-51 suction mount
Filmcity car suction mount

Just wondering you views....

Thanks in advance.

It's one less step in my workflow, even though I can drop accurate pins from memory in my usual haunts. Right now I'm loving not have to do it because I've got a long extra step of doing Raw conversion to TIFF in DPP, which is a sloooow program. So I'm spending an extra 15 to 30-minutes futzing around with Raw conversion before I can put the files into DxO an finish them. When DxO adds its 7D2 module, I'll be updating to it in a flash.

I think I'll stick with geotagging unless I'm in a situation where battery life will be a critical concern.

Does anyone have experience with LED light bars? I'd like to pick one up to mesa around with but I can't seem to find one for under $300. What makes them so expensive?

Welcome Cadric.

Most, but not all the users here, are still-photographers, so I'm afraid that your question will get lost in this big, long thread. I think you're more likely to get responses if you open a new thread and mention videography in the title.

is this for light painting? If so i think most spotlights would do ok. I got suckered into an expensive one (which while great) is very expensive for the limited uses i give it.

Generally speaking these light modifiers are just high priced

Not necessarily light painting. Id like to start experimenting with off camera light sources. I guess a light box could work, but I really like the form factor of the LED tubes. Also the clean white light that the bars put out.

Its a few LEDs in a plastic tube, I honestly have no idea why the highest price isnt $50.

I bought this one for light painting, but I use more in my garage than anything else.

I did that once, but instead of photography gear I bought a gameboy and a copy of pokemon

Only found out that I ordered it when the UPS guy knocked on my door!

Photographers like this humble me. I'm constantly stunned by the images this guy produces. I have the same equipment, minus the Zen-like skill.

I checked out his page. Very nice stuff indeed. That's why i try to go out and shoot something every weekend. I'm nowhere near that skilled, but when I look back at some of my earlier work, I can definitely see progress. I definitely don't need any more gear to make me better.

(Well except maybe that 1DX and 600mm f4L )

Just stopped at my camera store, and they are expecting the 100-400 around the 15th. I'm 3rd on the list. I'm reading some pretty good things about this glass.

They dropped the push pull design, right?

Correct. Also better sealed, and apparently a pretty big leap in image quality, and IS functionality.

yeah, its very difficult to seal a push pull by nature of the design. Unfortunate, I really like pushpull lenses. Though my experience with them is on the film side, no autofocus. Theyre set up so that the focus ring is where your hand rests on the pushpull action. So you can zoom and change your focus point at the same time.

Thats not really an issue with autofocus lenses.

Much bigger, and way easier to get to. Kind of like the new Berkley Bowl market right next to it. They have been in the new location over a year now, and I go there far more often than the old location.
