As far as the "flickering" that occurs from the on-board system checking for burnt bulbs.....yes, it happens. You get multiple flashes at start up and then random flashes every minute or two thereafter. These bulbs are bright, so it is noticeable, at least it is in my not so greatly lit garage after dark. I will test it out tomorrow, outside in the daylight, and see how noticeable the micro flashes are. It's just a single micro flash every minute or two, but like I said, the bulbs are bright, so it would probably be even more noticeable if you were to use the white bulbs, which they are advertising as 8X brighter than OEM. They say the ambers are 3X brighter than OEM. I don't have a set of whites to test out, but I'm guessing if you were to use the white bulbs for the rear turn signals, you would be sporting a pretty bright pink color instead of red, but again, that would depend on the color of your rear lenses(all red here in the US), but more on that tomorrow.
What is the part number to get the correct Amber rear turn signals from Bimmian?

In for this as well, I'd like amber rear turn signals.

For the F30, I assume we're talking about Weisslicht, the rear amber is SKU WTS302RAY.

Installed the front turn signals on my F32 and they work flawlessly. No codes being thrown, but do flash occasionally which I need to code out later.

Ah yes now I see it in an earlier post. I'm wondering if for $80 this photo is an accurate representation... mixed opinions in the thread:

Please rephrase so this makes sense. The weisslicht turn signals and reverse light are much brighter than stock (at all angles). Sounds like you don't have them and have no idea what you're talking about IMO

I'm sure you can find cheaper ones on ebay, but the main reason I bought these was the assurance they wouldn't throw any codes, which they don't

I used a lower quality LED in this picture. The Wiesslicht Amber LED won't just shine Amber, it will throw 4 times more lumens then the stock Incandescent bulbs.

The justification for the $80 price tag is that the manufacturer actually engineered them to effectively produce more light in F30 housings with stock wattage with better then stock heat sink. They also come with a lifetime warranty through their vendors which I have already effortlessly used.

Just ordered Weisslicht amber rear turn signals (WTS302RAY) and reverse (LVL302VWY) from Bimmian. Should have by weekend; if so, will take a video of before and after.

The Amber's throw x4 lumen and the white x8 over stock. I'm not sure what your expecting for signals or back-up lights but for stock wattage with a good warranty and even better heat sink you wont find better, and certainly not on e-bay... Let me tell you, I've tried all of those...

I have the turn signals on backorder, some people say there may be problems with using them as brake lights. I'll try once I get the blinkers and report back. They were supposed to get them in stock last week but apparently got sent the wrong bulbs (wrong offset). So who knows when I'll get them...

Hi Lawman,

How are the weisslicht led turn signal bulbs do so far? Any issues such as hyperflashing? Do you still need to add resistor load? Not sure to pull the trigger to get 2 pairs for front and back for x3. Weisslicht bulbs have gone up and is expensive.

thanks

Was gone for a few weeks; installed both of these. I must say that the amber turn signals are terrific -- they show through the red lens clearly as yellow while keeping the nice lines of a solid tail lens; the white back up lights provide plenty of light when backing. Unfortunately, video didn't come out well -- but as I said the turn signals went from red to yellow.

Of course, there are the three items to code for each light so there is no periodic flickering due to bulb checking:
XXX_X_KALTUEBERWACHUNG -> nicht_aktiv
XXX_X_WARMUEBERWACHUNG -> nicht_aktiv
XXX_X_IS_LED -> aktiv

GREAT ADDITION!!

They just told me on Monday it would be 4 weeks til they're resupplied (and not 3 weeks ago like it said when I ordered what seems like 2 months ago). So 4 weeks, another 2 weeks shipping... looks like I'll post up pics beginning of September

Update on my original post

I'm still running the ambers up front and in the rear turn signals with zero issues.

When the red versions came out in a style that fit my brake lights, I bought and installed those as well. Been running those for several months now with no issues. They shine just as bright as the stock halogen bulbs, but the pink hue that I always felt was there with the halogen bulbs is gone. You can also see that the angle of throw is greatly increased when compared side by side with the halogen....ie, the full brightness can be seen from a wider angle behind the car compared to the halogen throw. I didn't change out the inner "oh shit" brake light bulbs, since they rarely come on.

The all LED look, front and rear, is how the car should have been built in Munchen in the first place.

I've been running them as brake lights since April, and I've had zero issues.

No hyperflashing, no resistors needed, and they are working perfectly. The only issue is the random micro flashes from the car checking for burnt out bulbs(which I haven't programmed the car not to do.....yet).

Hey I was just about to order 2 pairs of LED bulbs from Bimmian when I noticed the part sku#s look different from others on this thread. I'm looking at the F32 specific bulbs for rear turn & break lights sku# WTS324RRY

Has anyone tried these? Do they work for both rear turn signals and breaks?
