National Geographic's "Ultimate Factories" - Producing the Z4 - from beginning to end

Oldie but goodie...

National Geographic's "Ultimate Factories" series features the BMW factories responsible for manufacturing the E85/E86 Z4. It's a fascinating look into the manufacturing process of any BMW, from how the body metal is cast to the final inspection of the car as it comes off the assembly line.

I know this is an old post, but I found a downloadable version with better resolution.

So here are the links if anyone is interested in downloading a video to keep.

Links:
Code:

http://rapidshare.com/files/375891722/National_Geographic-_MegaFactories-_BMW-xvid.avi.002

Just download all 4 files and then use HJSplit to Join the 4 files into one:

I think it's just a time limit, after a little while you should be able to download it for free again.

If not, try clearing your browser caches and try again. Hope it helps.

I was able to download all 4 files from Rapid Share, but I will spare you guys the disappointment of waiting for no reason. Only the first video clip works, and thats only if you use VLC media player and even that still requires the program to "repair" it. The other 3 clips do not work at all

If you read further on my post below the 4 links, you will see that I provided instructions and a link explaining how to "JOIN" the 4 files to make 1 video file, playable with whatever video player you use.

Yea yea yea, I saw that afterwards

But still, that begs the question, WHY? Why does it need a whole new program just to turn 4 files in a math problem so I can finally watch it? What ever happened to download+watch=enjoyment?

I remember watching this. The part where that guy picks up the crankcase (?) and it only weighs like 60 lbs (?) Something like that. The point is that the N52 is a well engineered engine.
