It looks ok, but I don't think the 1M bumper needs it, as pretty agressive in stock form. The 1M GP car looks very good IMO, but then it has side skirts and diffusers to balance the front splitter. I don't think that it would last on Sydney's roads though.

Are these actually functional or just cosmetic?
Last..... Well you'd need to be careful to say the least but functional, I think yes. Joe at the end of the main straight at ec would a bit more down force help with cornering, thinking yes

I don't think it would... aerodynamics require careful time in a wind tunnel to get things optimal. You'd probably need a rear wing to provide rear down force to counter the increase in the front. Just a thought.... maybe I am speaking shit ... again
Ian not at all. My first question would be, do you feel the nose lifting at speed?

I think it does provide some downforce.
There was a thread where a guy with a normal kerscher lip had it sucked into the ground when he went above 160 something MPH.

Joe you got me all wrong. thats way too cryptic a stir from me. As you are the only 1M owner I know that has taken the 1m onto the track i thought you may give an insight. I can tell you (and I think pete would confirm) the e92 gets a little light under steering at the end of the main straight, Is that soft front suspension or showing the need for some more downforce??? Now that I have the M3 front suspension components ill let you know next time I'm there if i need some more downforce or if the suspension did the trick

That's in the way it was attached though, nothing to do with construction of the lip.

The lip does provide downforce, the first Kerscher lip I had on my 135i I didn't install correctly and it came off at 100km/h... I picked it up off the road (still in one piece) and put it back on the car.

I've since re-installed it correctly and it's survived at 180km/h+

+1 reason I took the time to drill the holes properly was so it wouldn't fall off. So far can report its pretty strong 200+ and no movement. Not sure about downforce but will test it out when I next go to "Goulburn"

Lent my car to my sister and she mangled my Kerscher front lip on the weekend going up a steep driveway at right angles on the weekend. The clearcoat is gone and the weave is undoing itself....farken. Looks shite now I'm getting lowered this week- will probably keep it and see how much damage it sustains.

It's bad when it happens ippy, even worse when someone else does it to your car. Co incidentally, I went to the outlaws yesterday, thought I would reverse up their drive, mistake, gashed under the front bar grrrr
