Respect your elders - an E30 Documentary

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
5 months of work has finally come together to tell the story of the BMW E30. Many owners around the Pacific Northwest have hung on to the E30 for its superior driving feel, even though most owners have moved on to modern alternatives.

I take no credit <_< Found this video and had to share. Not involved in its creation in any way.

Didn't yet watch the documentary but I can appreciate!
I've had my E30 since 1997 the year I was legally able to drive.

Great documentary! You can feel how those people are passionate about their cars. What a great community as the BMW enthusiasts!

These older BMW's that are smaller, lighter and mechanically simpler will become cult cars and in some cases classics. Perhaps not as fast as today's turbo cars, but fast enough.

Awesome!

I own a 1M and a M coupe! But, my iS with minor mods is something very special that the newer rides can't replicate. Simple, light, vision, and fun!

Id love to have one of these guys. I love my E92 335i for its feel. Being that the feel of my 335 is based off this little legendary E30, I'd love one to tool on and restore.

BMW execs don't give a shit about emotions n fans.
All they care about is the stock value and the numbers as per the current market....which is a good business move.
So ppl..stop being emotional fools, stop talking about past because that's the past and it's not going to come in future.
I think Mercedes or Audi may do something good in near future.
BMW is just producing commuting cars...with the exception of ///M.

Yeah getting nostalgic about the e30. Had an 325 eta and a 325i. Want to do an e30 n20 swap in the future when I or someone figures it out.

Great video! double plus for shooting most of it right out side my home town. Have to say Chuckanut drive is one of the best short drives around the NW.

But see mercedes is a different type of brand compared to bmw. Mercedes is pure luxury and ultimate comfort as well as really great vip styling. Mercedes is like one of the founding fathers of the luxury vip scene as an example. But not to venture off topic here, In my opinion I see audi as a luxury version of a volkswagen. While there is nothing wrong with that at all, that is just what I feel as it seems it is. An a4 is like a Jetta on roids, both being front wheels drive but one being with less luxury styling as the other. Bmw is revolved around being an everyday drivers car. Take Mercedes luxury and styling and take porsche sports car styling and feel and mix the two together and you have bmw, the ultimate driving machine.

I wish I had been able to keep my diamond black e30 m3 alongside my black sapphire metallic 1M. The 1M is amazing and would do it again but all e30s are special cars !!

Great vid..!

Just shows you how far BMW has gone from it's roots. Quintessential BMW doesn't exist any more, so enjoyable to look back.
