Don't have to pick shit. As of 0:00 on the clock I gave up giving a shit about the NFL until September. I'm not a fair-weather fan. It's Bears or its nothing.

Urlacher was asked at the post game and went off on the press, said Jay was one of, if not THE, toughest guy on the team and I believe him. The guy took some heavy shots this year and stayed pretty healthy for the most part.

You don't have to apologize for it...but I certainly think that if you truly feel this way, you have deprived yourself out of alot of good football over your lifetime. You can watch a game without a rooting interest, just for the love of the game ya know.

yeah i know, and I have the other game on right now but I'm not rooting or watching intensely like I do for da bears. its just kinda like... meh, sick of COD so I'll watch while I'm on the computer.

I just don't see any reason to make a big deal of any other game (superbowl included) if my team isn't in it. I have more important shit to do.

^^^ no fair weather fan here, but I like to get as much football as I can. Especially since baseball bores the hell out of me. Hell, if I were a fair weather fan, I wouldn't still have been cheering for UMich football the last several years.

I agree, I dont think Cutler was faking an injury in the biggest game of his career. I mean he played with a fucking concussion and has been sacked a million times this year and kept playing. i'm sick of all those people saying he quit on the team and he faked an injury. He wasn't playing that well in the first half when he wasnt hurt, so why put him in if he is injured. if he could have played, he would have. if URLACHER says he's one of the the toughest guys on the team, i think i'm going to have to agree with him. I'm pretty sure Urlacher is made out of granite...

Please. I actually like the Bears. Cutler is a bum. He wasn't liked by his own teammates in Denver. They questioned his heart on many occasions. Keep dreaming if you think he can take you to a SB. There are certain QB's that just don't have the X factor. He's one of them. It wasn't his fault that he lost the game, but he's been erratic all year. I'm a Giant fan and it was the same thing I said about Kerry Collins in 2000.

bears fan here, just finding this thread...

great season, heads up high bears and bears fans...

JC's MRI is today, hopefully it's nothing too serious....

Haine stepped in and made a game out of it. Our defense shut ya down in the second 1/2, unfortunately our offense did not. Collins should have never taken a snap, should have been Haine from the get go. I would love to see Haine after a few more reps......

I am disappointed, yet not surprised at JC while on the sideline, didn't make an effort to talk/coach Haine between possessions, wasn't on a headset...just stood there pouting, come on man...be a team leader...

I think next years coaching staff needs to be revamped, Lovie and Martz I'm not too sure about....

first things first, #90 needs to get locked in for another season

1. TV didn't show it but people at the game are confirming that Cutler did interact with Haine after he went in and was congratulatory after the TD's.
2. I believe Peppers is signed as he was a free agent aquisition and the question is more his age toward the end of the contract...not that that matters under current CBA rules.

yeah I figured #1 would be true but fans in this town need to be hand fed this kind of shit to believe it (like show over and over on the news the B roll of him actually doing it). You know Lovie isn't gonna step up and vouch for him either... AHHHHH this makes me almost just as upset as actually losing the game. Someone get me 5 min of rant time on NBC at 10pm tonight!

Think what you like. Is he unlikable and surly...yes. But if you look at his physical skill set he mirrors Favre even in his decision making. I am sure that I will get flamed citing how great a leader Favre was...really? Have you watched him as we have gotten to see the real Favre in the last 3-4 years?

They question his heart because he puts up a wall of emotion and plays things off like he didn't care. But the guy takes a physical beating here on a weekly basis for two years and kept on coming. So I have no question about his heart.

Can he take the Bears to the Superbowl...yes. But he isn't the type of QB that is going to do it by himself at this point...and he may never be. Elway needed TD. Brady needed Bellichek. E Manning needed a ridiculous defense. P Manning took years to get there.

Here is a list of some of the more glorious Superbowl QB's:

Grossman
Hasselbeck
Brad Johnson
Trent Dilfer
***Kerry Collins***
Chris Chandler
Neil O'Donnell
Stan Humphries
Jeff Hostetler
Tony Eason

And that is just going back to the last Bears Superbowl win. If you don't think that Cutler is at least as good a QB as those guys if not better than most then I can't argue football with a person who lacks common sense.

****Edit - I am not saying that Cutler is as good as Favre or will accomplish what he did...I am just saying the skill sets and approaches are similar.

Sun Times is reporting a source inside Halas Hall says Cutler's MCL was in fact torn.

Josh McDaniels, NFL idiot of the decade, ran Cutler out of Denver, and that's all there is to say about his relationship with the Broncos. There's always gonna be media/fans etc questioning players "heart" or dedication. Hell, the consensus on Peppers was that he takes plays off - I haven't seen him take any off in Chicago. I don't buy into the "leadership, good body language, x-factor, likeability" bs because the only time anyone is complaining about it is when a team is losing. As if the QB being better friends with his teammates or more liked by the media would lead to the team not losing...don't buy it.
