DIY advice Oil Change

Can anyone tell me. Where is the oil drain plug and the filer is located? I just bought a 06 530xi not from the dealer. Just want to know how to change it? I was searching for the oil filter under the hood no luck. I assume the filter is under the car somewhere and that it will involve removing some of the panels. Any advice/pictures/recommendations you can give would be greatly appriciated. Thanks.

Here's one for the e90. I don't know how similar the 3er oil change is to the modern 530 but it should help to point you in the right direction.

The process in my 2002 530i was similar to this so maybe not much has changed.

After my scheduled maintenance is up, Ill be doing all the work myself. Oil changes are pretty easy, but free at the dealership is better.
