Sunroofs are an option and most 3 series have them. They are not installing a sunroof on this car. They cut out the stock steel roof to install a carbon fiber one.

I have to say this is the first time I've ever seen this done!

Seeing that a big part of the roof's job is for structural integrity and rigidity, I assume your new roof won't come close to the original one for those things, so how are you dealing with that?

Reminds me of ....

Amazing work and It'll look great, I first saw this done on that aqua blue IND M3, still looks great! Any issues regarding roof integrity? Or is the CF even more rigid than the metal? Looks sick!

Frankie Frankie Frankie!! my man!!! MMmmmmMM!!!

Rigidity? Never thought about that, if CF cracks...hmmm...I guess first E90 335i to M3 to M3 E93 4door conversion!? I'm sure CF roof will hold fine. There are few other people over on M3post with CF roof and everyone seems very happy with it.

Mad props to LTBMW! They always! always! make things happen! No matter how/what/where/when I request something they always come through and get the job done! I love LTBMW.

Seriously, after seeing this thread, my Vegas getaway isn't fun anymore. Imma go check this out in person tomorrow!

The structural rigidity shouldn't be drastically lost - if you look at the aerial view, pillars A/B/C/D weren't touched and it's as if your simply replacing the thin metal above the pillars with a CF panel. Take a look at this pic below:

The cross section in the front and the back of the roof is what holds the rigidity, not the roof panel itself.
