BTW, you're on a BMW forum. So yes, it's probably filled with nearly nothing but BMW fanboys, myself included.
Lol at the price difference argument. I expected that from a fanboy as well

And I'm other forums, and there aren't quite as many naive people on other forums as there are here.

Yeah, and neither is any current M car. Though I wouldn't mind an e92 m3 for the price they're going for now, used.

This will probably end up being a Z6 and Supra. This will not be a Lexus because Lexus already has the RC coming up and I think Toyota wouldn't want to throw Lexus in this because Lexus is a tender brand outside of the US. The vast majority of the world would buy a BMW over a Lexus because of the lack of brand recognition. Powertrain will probably be a hybrid turbo four banger. Toyota needs help with building great turbo engines and BMW needs helps with developing good hybrid technologies. It's a win win for both parties.

Lets hope that each brings its best to the table. The Toyota can teach BMW a thing or two about reliability, cheap maintenance, and reasonable pricing. The BMW can teach Toyota a thing or two about how to make a great sport luxury car that does not look boring or bland.

I own an M3 and a Supra. For me, a new Supra with BMW DNA has the potential to be the best car ever.

The FRS has been a huge success by any standard so I hope BMWTOYOTA does their homework for this project in a similar fashion and releases a winner.

I'll be watching closely...

Ugh.. really? Please tell me why you would pick a lazy horizontal four over literally any i4 that makes 200hp. Ever worked on a Subaru engine, any EJxx series motors and still think they are ideal for sports cars? Please tell me you have and you have some kind of backup for calling me ignorant. You own one, don't you? I've heard this sort of irrational defense before..
