Great (and Surprising) Results with Turtlewax the Black Box

I was very Surprised to see these results, i was just using this kit as an in between 6 monthly detail, wash polish and wax it seemed reasonably high quality and a quick solution, anyway it has made my Black Sapphire paint come up amazingly well! thought i would share it with you guys.

its a messy job (gloves required!) using tinted "pre wax cleaner" followed by tinted liquid detailer spray to help with the removal, then a carnuaba based tinted wax, and again the liquid detailer to remove, buff to follow and it looks great!

i do look after the paint reasonably well, although the swirling is getting worse so for the paint to come up this way is a real result for me! oh yeah and thats the mrs with the smile!

BTW No Editing of the photos has taken place.

Not to burst your bubble, but these products are probably just filling in the micro scratches. It'll be a quick fix but after a wash or two, you're back to the visible paint imperfections.

Yes that stuff just hides the imperfections in the paint. I have used it once before on my jet black paint and it was indeed a mess to put down and clean up. After a few washes the imperfections will reapear and then you are back to sqaure one. This stuff now sits in the corner of my collection collectiong dust.

Porter: If you're looking for an "in between" thing you can do yourself, I would recommend wash and waxes (with the proper techniques and decent products of course). Pro detailers can do your paint correction and then you can maintain that with nice wash mitts, good mild soap, some clay bar, plush microfibers, and some easy to use quality wax. Paste or liquid.
