Agree with all that, but I still think it's in poor taste and enforces negative BMW stereotypes when we see some executive being chauffeured.

Disagree. Reinforces the notion that a BMW, the 7 in particular, is something to aspire to. As is being a big time executive..

I would have thought they'd at least show a proper steering wheel grip (see 11 seconds in)... the guy's hands are way high... the steering wheels are clearly not designed for that since you can't reach any stalks or paddles with your hands that high up!

I think you missed the point. The "feeling remains" is that while sitting in his living room reading the paper, it's just as comfortable being in the back of the 7er relaxing while being driven around....... reading the paper.

Estoril Blue looks a lot nicer in this video than pictures I've seen. Seems a lot more glossy and nice to look at and not as bright and bold as the photos I've seen. I like it much better. Hope this accurately reflects the color out on the street.

It's not just a stereotype. What do you think the 7-Series IL is for?
Many executives have drivers coaching them around world wide.
It's just more common than you may be aware of.

AFAIK, this is an ad geared towards mass-market customers. And I still maintain it's a poor representation of 7-series customers. I know about 4 people who drive 7-series, and they are not the type of person that is represented in the commercial.

I don't know what it's like in the Alpha Quadrant, but here in Texas, I've never seen a 7 series being chauffeured. And I see a dozen 7ers every day on the road. Not saying it doesn't happen, rather it is a poor way to communicate the benefits of the brand/model, when marketing to a wide audience.

The key word here is "global."

I am sure our Chinese counterparts will scratch their heads when they see the steering wheel move, but feel right at home seeing the guy sitting in the back of the 7.
