Hey, that car held up pretty well.

Once you have a kid, the fun and games are over.

It is a miracle that the three even survived this crash. I wish every driver had respect for the vehicles they drive... and for their loved ones that are in the passenger seats. I hope that they all heal well and that the 21-year-old driver learned a serious lesson.

Hey now, I have a kid and I engage in some spirited driving. Difference is wife and kid are sitting in the living room while I'm doing my vroom vroom.

I disagree. Do you think it would benefit the mother and child if this guy (who I'm assuming is the father/boyfriend) is paralyzed? I'm as upset as anyone about the stupidity of this situation, but wishing a permanent disability on someone is not right (in this situation anyway).

Well, it's purely a matter of opinion.

I don't have a problem with the fact that you don't think he should be paralyzed. To each his own.

But these are the type of people that need to be eliminated from the gene pool, if not simply taken off the roads permanently.

That's sorta kinda ok. You have to think if anything ever happened to you, what would happen to your son/daughter?

As long as you're doing it responsibly and your family is not put in any danger, you're good!(Family involves you)

No, no, I completely agree about taking them off the roads and out of the gene pool. I'm just coming at it from the angle of impact to the kid. It's not the kid's fault his (presumed) father is a jackass. I'm just saying that it doesn't do any good to have the kid grow up poor(er) and without a dad because of it.

Again, I'm just talking in completely general terms. I have no idea what the details of these people's lives are. This guy could deserve to get bludgeoned with a hammer for all I know or care.

I think I would be amazed if it ended up being this guy's kid. For him to endanger his own 2-year-old is really something that would make it that much more dumb. I'm not saying he should have done it if it wasn't his kid, but having had children of my own, I know I'm definitely going out of my way to avoid risks while my kid's in the car.

A very stupid thing to do. However, you've got to hand it to the BMW engineers that designed the car. I would suspect that if this was almost any other car, there would have been a fatality.

Eliminated....okay then.

The only way to get rid of this guy from the "gene pool" is to kill him...and his kid. Otherwise his stupidity lives on, genetically speaking.

You gonna pull the trigger?

Apparently all I'd have to do is give him the keys to another BMW.

What an idiot. Some people amaze me. Why would you drive that fast on a road like that, especially with a child in the car. Stupid people.
