Ok so i have two quick questions im sure most will be able to answer...

1) When did the shawdowline trim (Window trim and side mirrors) become an option? (Model/year/pkg etc.)

2) When did the lower three piece grille come black instead of 'grey' ? (Year/Model etc.)

1.) I wanna say for the 2008 model year with the sports package

2.) Mine is a 2007 model and it has the black lower grille. Maybe it's arbitrary whether it's black or grey

thanks for your reply that totally narrows it down for me but thats very odd, you and i both have '07 black 335i and you got black lower grilles and i got the grey ones.

Are you black sap. metallic or jet black?

Or perhaps you dont have the sport or prem. package ?

I personally like the black better and now i want to paint mine but first want to find out with what color car/model/pkg it came with...cuz i have seen them black on other 328i models too...

328s come with black lower grilles, and 335s come with grey

and the black shadowline trim became available with the sport package on 2009 models
