It's inexpensive (not cheap) and looks decent as well
I wasn't hating. I have matte blacks grills, but I'm considering using plasti-dip on my window trim and badges, not because it's inexpensive, but because it's easier to apply (IMO) than vinyl or shadow line trim. Plus its removable if you should mess it up or decide to go back to stock.
I know that is the reason why I used it. Super easy and reversible and looks great

Yeah man, I'm all for it if you have the money! It will look sick.
Well money is the thing ... I'm a international student (no financial aid for me) and bought a new 135i vert in 2012 (which is at home in Germany) and bought the 335i in November

Personally, I would get an Open Flash Tune for 400 dollars. Then you've saved enough to purchase your DCI intake and can maybe get down pipes or a FMIC. I don't think you'll get much out of an exhaust with just a tune and intake. That's an expensive mod for very little return.

Either way, your car looks awesome!

I know what you mean by how hard it is to mod cars in Germany and having to get TÜV approval for everything. I just moved from Germany back to the states and purchased an E90 328i.

Here, you can modify as you please with no inspection being required. The only exception that I am aware of is modifications that negatively impact emissions.

Welcome to the states!

Exactly TÜV is a pain in the ass .. Every modification has to be approved for the individually and needs a entry in the cars book. Cost about 80$ to get the inspection for the new part

I suppose I see why Germany would require inspections for each modification... If you can drive a car 150mph on a public road, I'd want to make sure any alteration to it is exceptionally safe. Here in the US most highways tap out at 65 with some rare exceptions allowing 75 or 80.

Yeah driving in America is kinda lame .... It's no fun to go 65 on a complete empty highway. I myself drove over 220 mph and it was so much fun (Germany is the place to drive)

The TüV is super strict and checks a required otherwise You will be not allowed to drive the car on public roads

I live in Lexington, but do not go to UK anymore. Just work full time now.

I'm not too sure about the Owensboro area, but we have many guys around here that get together the second Tuesday of every month for the Bluegrass Bimmers chapter of BMW CCA. Maybe check for local groups on FB..
