best place for ppk (stage 1 mainly)

Yes i've read alot of posts on third party but as the 1er is very new i still have about 3 yrs of warranty left lol. Back to my point i am interested about what the local (sydney) dealers have to offer for the stage 1 mainly (love the snap crackle pop) or stage 2. I have heard that you can get it cheap online or something then bring it to a dealer to help install.

i.e http://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-11...55-engine.aspx

But I'm interested to hear from you guys

kind regards

Phone up a few dealers and get some quotes, I think approx $1600 including install is reasonable for PPK1, you don't really need PPK2 for a N55 if you're not tracking it.

I got a quote of $2,500 fitted to include 2 hours or programming for a N54. I believe BMW dealers can approach BMW for "special pricing" but the only dealer in SA basically said why would he do that....So if you are in Sydney shop around because it may be more competitive.

Irrespective of warranty is this the best bang for buck?

ahh fair enough.

yes and no from what i've read the other 3rd party ecu tuners dont have that VERY agressive burble overuns at the end when the foots off the pedal yes performance is much better than ppk but i think that a sonorous sound is more useful and enjoyable in todays traffic. people that do have it have never said to regret it

I think it was worth it although i agree it is expensive, i felt a nice increase in power, don't have to worry about warranty issues and get a lovely crackle from the exhaust now.

That doesn't sound like a stock exhaust (even though it says it is)... is that your vid? I would guess it has catless DPs

Mine sounds just like the video with stock exhaust +PPK, except the volume is quieter.

hahaha (I can see the future jokes) Thanks mate, althought i dont have BMW PE, Eisenmann exhaust puts out a slighty different note.

Cant remember how much i paid for my PPK 1. it was like 2-3 years ago.
I do have a strong relationship with my sales rep @ Trivett BMW, can ask for you.

have you been qouted a price?

PS: Thinking of getting DPs in the near future, might sound like thunder storms LOL

Damn, the PPK really makes a difference.

Especially on the N55 with the newer software versions that have the quieter exhausts.
